Privacy Policy

At Concentrated Wisdom (“we,” “us,” or “our”), your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through concentratedwisdom.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, the choices and rights available to you, and how to contact us with questions. By using the Site or purchasing our digital products, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: when you create an account, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, leave a comment, or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, billing/shipping details (where applicable), and payment information (processed by our third-party payment processor – we do not store full card numbers).

Information collected automatically: when you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and general location (city/country level, inferred from IP address).

Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior. See our Cookie Policy for full details on what we use and how to control it.

Information from third parties: if you interact with us through a third-party platform (for example, a payment provider), that platform may share limited information with us as permitted by its own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To fulfill orders and deliver digital products: processing payments, verifying transactions, and delivering the digital products, guides, and printables you purchase.
  • To provide customer support: responding to questions, troubleshooting access issues, and handling refund or support requests.
  • To operate and improve the Site: understanding how visitors use our content and developing new articles, tools, and products.
  • To communicate with you: sending transactional emails (order confirmations, receipts) and, if you opt in, newsletters and marketing emails through our email platform, Encharge. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • For analytics and advertising: using tools such as Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to understand traffic patterns and, where you have consented, to measure and improve the relevance of our advertising.
  • To maintain security and prevent fraud: detecting and preventing unauthorized access, abuse, or fraudulent transactions.
  • To comply with legal obligations: maintaining records required for tax, accounting, and consumer protection law.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for four broad purposes: essential site functionality, analytics, advertising, and email engagement tracking. Full details, including retention periods and how to opt out, are in our Cookie Policy.

  • Essential cookies – required for core site and checkout functionality. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) – help us understand aggregate traffic and behavior. Used with your consent where required by law.
  • Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) – used, with consent where required, to measure and personalize ads on third-party platforms.
  • Email engagement cookies/pixels (Encharge) – track opens and clicks in marketing emails to personalize follow-up content.

Where required by applicable law (including the EU/UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies, using the cookie banner presented on your first visit. You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers (“processors”): companies that perform services on our behalf, such as our web host, payment processor, email marketing platform (Encharge), and analytics/advertising providers (Google, Meta). These providers may only use your information to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Concentrated Wisdom, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent: in any other case where you have explicitly agreed to the sharing.

Note for California residents: our use of advertising cookies (such as the Meta Pixel and Google Ads) may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA, even though no money changes hands. See Section 6 below for how to opt out.

5. Data Retention and Security

Retention. We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy: order and billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law; marketing contact data is retained until you unsubscribe plus a reasonable period to honor that request; analytics data is retained according to the default periods set by our analytics providers (currently up to 14 months for Google Analytics).

Security. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), restricted access to personal data, and reputable third-party processors, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR): the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent at any time; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (including via advertising cookies) and of targeted advertising; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To opt out of sale/sharing, disable advertising cookies via our cookie banner or contact us below.

India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023): the right to access a summary of the personal data we process about you, to seek correction and erasure, to withdraw consent at any time, to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@concentratedwisdom.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days), at no charge for reasonable requests. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing where legally required.

7. International Data Transfers

Concentrated Wisdom and its service providers operate in multiple countries, including India and the United States. If you access the Site from outside these countries, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect data transferred internationally.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site and our digital products are intended for adults and are not directed to children. In accordance with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK GDPR, and India’s DPDPA, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent.

Some of our content (for example, our Kidventures articles on parenting and children’s activities) is written for parents, guardians, and educators to use with children, not for direct, unsupervised use by children themselves. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information may contact us to request its removal.
